ENG 4U1--Hey 4U1!

Thanks for locating this site. Just to make sure you can access this blog, and so we can learn a little more about you, please answer the question that I mentioned in class: if you could be an animal, what kind of animal would you be and why? (If you're one of the couple people who already answered on Ms. Schwartz's blog, my apologies, but we'd love to hear from you again!)

  1. If I were an animal, I would like to be a dog. I mean, life as a dog would be pretty good. Scientists say that dogs don't live as long as humans because they are born knowing the life lessons that we as humans have to wait our whole life to know the answer to them. Plus, getting treats, and being cute and cuddly! What is so wrong about that?

  2. If I were an animal, I would be a Chimpanzee. Chimpanzee's are hyper and very friendly. Which relates to me because I have alot of energy and am very outgoing. Chimpanzee's like being outside in the wild and like having their freedom. I like going out and having fun. A Chimpanzee is what I would choose for myself.

  3. If I were an animal, I would definitely want to be an elephant. The elephant is a calm and gentle creature, but can be very powerful when strength is needed. I respect its ability to be strong without misusing its strength. For this reason alone, I would choose to be an elephant.

  4. If I were an animal, I would be a panda. Panda's are peaceful animals, they dont hunt which adds to their image of innocence. Panda's are known to attack humans when they have been irritated. Also they are very cute. I would be a panda because I am a peaceful person most of the time, but when people irritate me, I'll defend myself to some extent.

  5. If I were an animal, I would be a turtle. Turtles are smart, patient, and sometimes shy creatures. Turtles basically carry their homes on their backs which shows that they can pick up and go and are adaptable to their new surroundings. They can hide in their shells to get away from the immediate world around them when they want, and can swim freely in water among other creatures too. Thinking of turtles reminds me of the story, “The Turtle and the Hare”, which is a story about a turtle winning a race against a fast, overconfident hare by going slowly and steadily. I think that the turtle is very much like I am; I like doing things right which usually requires me to be slow, but steady!

  6. If I were an animal, I would be a dolphin. Dolphins are known to be very intelligent creatures with remarkable capabilities. Just like individuals they’re able to interact with each other as well as humans. They live their whole life in groups - surrounding themselves with other dolphins. This reminds me of my self. I love the company of my family and friends. These smart creatures are very playful with a good sense of humor (like me :). Every dolphin has a unique whistle, just like every human has a unique personality. <3

  7. I would definitely be a Philippine Eagle (a.k.a. monkey-eating eagle) if I were an animal. Being one of the largest and most powerful eagles on Earth will grant me dominance over the animals in the forest. In addition to having a keen eyesight, I would be able to hunt and eat as many monkeys as I want simply because I hate monkeys. The best reason why I chose this eagle though is because of its gracefulness in flying.

  8. If I could be an animal, I would be an eagle. In my opinion the eagle is the most beautiful and graceful animal in the kingdom. They are wild animals but can be tamed at the same time. They have unbelievable eyesight and can see things from very far away. I would love to have eyesight like the eagle because then I would not need to wear glasses anymore. Lastly, the main reason I would love to be an eagle is because they have the power to fly, to be free, the closes humans will get to fight would be through an airplane.

  9. If I would be an animal, I would be an Rabbit. Rabbits are known to be very Natured and calm. rabbits are social animals, living in small groups of up to 20 individuals. Unlike other mammals, rabbits are relatively silent creatures, signaling only with loud foot thumps during times of alarm or aggression. Instead of using sound, they use scent to communicate information. I'm just like a rabbit because I'm a very calm person, silent and I only get mad when someone or something upsets me. The reason I chose a rabbit is because I have a similar personality.:)

  12. If I could be any animal, I would choose to be a wolf. As a wolf, I could live in the beautiful wilderness of Canadian forests. Having close family and companions, to me, is the most important thing in the world, and as a wolf, I will have a tight bond with my fellow pack members. Living in the wilderness with a close set of friends sounds like a good life to me, which is why I would choose to be a wolf.

  13. If I could be an animal I would be a tree monkey because we both have the same ears. I definitly like jumping around like a crazy idiot throwing coconuts on people. I really, REALLY love bananas. Monkeys have a really loud voices, and guess what? So do I!!! Furthermore, monkey have a great sense of humor just like me. Also, they are social and human like, just like me again. Therefore monkeys can relate to me more than I can relate to myself.

  14. If I could be any animal I would be a Tasmanian Tiger or a Thylacinus cynocephalus. They have a strange history and they have always been, to me, interesting animals. They are masupials, they have stripes, and they are extinct. Scientists could hopefully clone me and the Tasmanian Tiger could make a comeback in the world. 15. If i were an animal I would be a Chameleon. They have camouflage and they are just an all around interesting animal. They use their camouflage to hide from predators and defend themselves. I would use my camouflage to hide from other people when I don't feel like interacting with them.

  16. If I could be an animal, I would be an Owl. As a bird, I would want to be able to stretch my wings and fly to wherever I desired, with the freedom of the sky. Owls are nocturnal, and I love sleeping in the day; the idea of exploring the night is exciting and exhilarating. The bird itself is of a very intimidating nature, and is the main predator of anything smaller than it, seeing as it does not chew as it eats, just like me.

  17. If I, Leslie Peng, could be any animal in the world, I would choose to be a panda because it's one of the smartest animals in my opinion. Pandas' main activities are sleeping and eating. Both sleeping and eating are the best activities to do in this world with no worries and pressure free. With up to six people taking care of me at one time since I'm so cute and popular, why would anything trouble me?

  18. If I had to be an animal, I would without a doubt be a feline. Specifically speaking, probably a lynx. The first thing that catches my eye about a lynx is its eye-catching beauty. It’s such a graceful animal, which doesn’t only have the looks but the ability to easily climb trees, hunt, and maintain stealth.

  19. If I could be any animal in the world I would be a dolphin, although it's already been chosen twice. Dolphins have been my favourite animals since I was just a child. Their intelligence, speed, fun personalities, and unique way of life have always attracted me to them. I think I'd make a pretty awesome dolphin.
